This I saw again today. More body, more compassion. Did I scream at the stupid service provider when waiting for them to do their job? NO. Yes I gave you that parking spot...Why?? Because If I saw it in the context of you "taking" it from me, I would have probably lost it and left my signature across the side of your car. See, I was nice. How's that for compassion huh?
Today, maybe because I am making a point of it, I have yet again noticed the extremes people will go to to avoid people that make them uncomfortable. Hey! Me included. I am not blind to my own faults. Be it in line at the grocery store, or just stepping out of the "ant line" on the sidewalk. We aestetically stereotype. Oh Yes, we go all googly eyed at the tatted buff guy but completely ignore the nerdy looking dude. Why?? Because danger trumps security, that's why. And yes, I can hear all the marmy soccer moms going on about stability and reliability BUT, is it not in the adverse situations where we truly find out who we are and what we want? Do we not fight to keep things real instead of tolerating normalness for the sake of security???
Just a thought.....
